This stunning beach is located about 22 kilometres from Panjim and is situated in Bardez administrative region. This is also part of a 30 km stretch of beach coastline along the west coast of Goa by the Arabian sea that begins at Fort Aguada and continues as Sinquerim beach, Candolim beach, Calangute beach, Baga beach, Anjuna beach, Vagator beach finally ending at Chapora beach and Fort.
The beach is a haven for party animals as many throng the beach for mid-night parties. In fact, there are a number of places playing host, as music and dance form an important part of these: Clubs such as Nine Bar, Hilltop and Primrose play different types of trance and music from around the world. Interestingly, Disco Valley is the name of the place that used to be the hub of Goan trance parties since the early 1990s.
Another attraction for the tourists is a number of Mediterranean and Indian Cafes serving an amazing variety of food and drinks. The happening beach is visited by Western backpackers, as it is by Indian tourists, who feel specially drawn to watch the famed, magnificent sunset from the rocks. From Chorao, using the ferry, taxis and cabs, one can get to Mapusa – where there are a number of buses that run from Mapusa and Calangute Beach to Vagator, as are taxis and cabs.
