Baga beach is part of a staggering 30- kilometre stretch of beach coastline along the west coast of Goa by the Arabian sea – beginning with Fort Aguada and continuing as Sinquerim Beach, Candolim Beach, Calangute Beach, Baga beach, Anjuna Beach, Vagator Beach – which finally ends at Chapora Beach and Fort.
The scenic Baga beach is quieter as compared to Calangute Beach. Its unique beauty is accorded to the creek, the Retreat House that is perched on the hill and the quietude. It is a hit with western tourists who can be seen fishing and indulging in water sports in many numbers.Baga beach is a small but perfect beach located between two other famous beaches – Anjuna on one side and Calangute on the other.
It is a great place to enjoy some quite moments with your loved ones. Located in Bardez, Baga Beach is also famous for parasailing, water sports (banana ride) and dolphin cruises. From Chorao, taking the ferry ride to Ribandar, Panjim is only 6.6 kilometres away. From Panjim, there are buses, taxis and cabs that can lead you to Baga via Mapusa. For the uninitiated, there are frequent buses from Calangute to Baga in an interval of few minutes, which can be availed too.
